TEK-Ocean Spirit completes successful dry dock

The TEK-Ocean Spirit was dry docked in June 2016 at the New Zealand Naval Base in Auckland by Babcock Ltd. The dry docking operations were completed over a four week period with approximately 500 man days of work completed.

dsc02301dsc02144_1During the dry docking, a number of successful overhauls were completed on vessel equipment, including bow and stern thrusters, steering gear, shaft alternator and auxiliary generator among others. Further to this, 5 yearly Renewal Survey inspections were successfully completed by DNV, including extensive vessel inspections, complete Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement of hull, and DP trials.

In conjunction with the standard Renewal Surveys, an independent Vessel Integrity Assessment was conducted by DNV to assess the vessel’s condition.
